"So when this song is done can we go back to Mean?"
Listening to the Camp CD right now. It makes me feel incredibly happy.
You won't guess what song came on right after I published this post. Mean.

Ahhh.
So the NHL has decided to go insane this year. I am not impressed. So many coaches moved. The new insane realignment, which I don't understand in the least.
Last night was crazy. All my teams lost. The realignment. What is up?
Here is a picture of how the new Conferences will work:
See that Florida island at the bottom? How does that make anything easier. Wouldn't it work better if Florida played Carolina and Nashville? Gary Bettman....We are even more not friends anymore. The thing that does make this good is that there is more Toronto/Montreal and Boston/ Montreal games.
And a Staal division. Seeing the Staals play against each other is always exciting.
I'm holding on that when I get back from my exam tonight Montreal will have won, because we're playing Columbus, and if we don't win I will cry, and Pacioretty our top scorer is back. And Louis Leblanc the newest guy we've called up from the AHL is playing at home for the first time.
I would consider moving to Quebec just so I could see more Montreal games on TV. Only for that.
I blog about hockey too much.

Man, they have a John Knox shirt.
Tell me you wouldn't like these. I don't even drink but I would drink juice like a pro out of the Calvin one. If you so wish you can buy these and other super cool Reformed stuff here.
Can I get one of the Five Solas shirts and everyone can cheat off of me at Reformation night?
Really everything on that site is amazing.

How do you say, "I’m going to stab you in the heart with my pen" in French? I have no idea.
Can we talk about the awful state of French education in this country. I lived in New Brunswick, the only bilingual province, for 15 years of my life. I still can't speak French. I took French for 9 years, I can say Bonjour, and various other crap but I could not hold a conversation. Much of my French education was focused on writing in French. How on Earth is going to help me in life? It isn't I could write a horrible French sentence but I couoldn't talk to someone in French.
The French education in this country needs to be more focused on conversation French, not on playing Bingo and making horrible posters.
It's a sham.

Did you know that the gold medal game from the 2010 Vancouver Olympics is online? Well it is and you can watch (and cry) here. There's no commentating though. So no breathtaking Golden Goal call but still amazing.
This was one of the best moments of my life.
Just so you know I'm not a psycho...John Furlong said the title not me.
So I looked up the roster for the 2010 team and all the goaltenders are from Quebec...

More hockey ranting
If I see one more person compare the Chara/Pacioretty hit to the Pacioretty/Letang hit I am going to scream.
Let me adress this. These hits were completely different. They happened in 2 different seasons under 2 different Head Disciplinarians. The hits were also different. The only things that are consistent are, both blindside hits, both involved Pacioretty. One hit resulted in a bloody nose, and the other in a concussion and broken neck. People actually thought Pacioretty had died for a bit, he was not moving.
People are also mad that Pacioretty shouldn't have recived a suspension. Why because Chara didn't get one? Pacioretty does not automatically get a free blindside hit card because he suffered one. If anything, Pacioretty should be one of the main forces advocating the headshot suspensions. He's been there. I could mention Crosby here but I won't.
The hits were different, they were both bad, both deserved suspensions. Pacioretty was the one that received it.

Oh look a hockey rant.
I think Montreal has the best fanbase in the league. We’ve been around forever. We know we’re the best. We have crazy strong rivalries. We’re incredibly arrogant, because we have 24 cups.
I love the fanbase.
I know the Pacioretty hit was dirty, it was bad. I kind of freaked out when I saw it. I knew it was bad. I know he deserved a suspension. Am I still mad? Yes, because he took the hit, and hence is gone for 3 games. It was stupid on his part. I’m glad he apologized, it was good on his part.
It isn’t fair to bring up the Chara hit, the league was different then. And that hit sucked, it was bad. But every time there is a hit of any kind, completely different we can’t bring it back up. It’s just wrong.
That is all I have to say.

This article is very interesting. Manitoba and Saskatchewan just hate on Quebec. Halifax is most hated by the Atlantic Provinces...for obvious reasons. The most hated city by the Maritimes is Toronto...also makes a lot of sense. Apparently no one out here hates Victoria...

In which I list every Christmas hymn and movie ever made.
1. What do you like about Christmas?
Everything, I absolutely love Christmas. I love all my families traditions, I like Christmas parties and burning my fingers with wax and lobster rolls and Santa bags and everything.
2. What is your Christmas smell?
Summer Savoury because my Nannies house smells like it on Christmas day because of the stuffing.
3. Do you miss Christmas as a child?
A little bit yes, I live away from the majority of my family now and it’s hard traveling up to see them every year. It disrupts everything and we have to have Christmas early at home now.
4. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Wrapping all the way, gift bags are for birthdays.
5. Real tree or artificial?
I like the fact that you can put a artificial tree up really early but I love the look and smell of a real tree.
6. When do you put the tree up?
After November 11th
7. When do you take the tree down?
Sometime in early January
8 .Do you like or drink eggnog?
Yes but not very much, I have some in my fridge right now.
9. Favorite gift received as a child?
Hmmmmm…I got this super cool play kitchen when I was 4. It rocked. Not as a kid but as a 17 year old I got the best Christmas present ever. From my Aunt and Uncle a set of 3 Fire King vintage bowels with polka dots on them I actually cried when I opened them. I had given up hope that I would ever own them.
10. Do you have a nativity scene?
We used to. Funny story actually, I was babysitting my pastors kids a few years back and his oldest son came into our living room and turned over the manger with baby Jesus in it, apparently he felt it was a graven image of God. It was kind of adorable.
11. Hardest person to buy for?
My Grandparents, they have everything. Also my best friend because I always want to give her something super cool and sweet and special and I can never find it.
12. Easiest person to buy for?
My mother and my sister.
13. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
Um….I’m easy to buy for so I’ve never gotten anything I’ve hated. My nannie did once give me a set of Bratz lip-gloss though, they all tasted horrible and made my lips weird colours.
14. Mail or email Christmas cards?
Mail, actually I give them out by hand because I only give them to people I like.
15. Favorite Christmas movie?
Most of my favourite movie list are Christmas movies. I love Elf, Eloise at Christmas Time, The Polar Express, both versions of Miracle on 34th Street, Home Alone, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, The animated Grinch, A Charlie Brown Christmas and the Santa Clause, the old school Rudolph the red nosed Reindeer.
16. When do you start Christmas shopping?
Novemberish
17. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
Nope I don’t think I have.
18. Favorite things to eat at Christmas?
Do not even start. Turkey Dinner, Shortbread cookies, chocolate, cherry cheesecake, cinnamon rolls, various things wrapped in puff pastry.
19. Clear lights or coloured on the tree?
I really don’t know. I’m into clear right now.
20. Favorite Christmas song?
Silent Night, O’ Little Town of Bethlehem, We three Kings, Angels we have heard on High, God rest you Merry Gentlemen, Away in a Manger, Joy to the World, What Child is This,O Come O Come Emmanuel. I think Go Tell it on the Mountain is my all time favourite though.
21. Travel at Christmas or stay at home?
I would love to stay at home but we just can’t right now. I love going back to my hometown for Christmas.
22. Can you name all of santas reindeer?
Nope.
23. Angel on the tree top or a star?
Star, we used to have this super sketch angel that had a flasher bulb in it, it actually terrified me as a kid.
24. Ugliest Christmas decoration ever invented?
I don’t know. I hate Santa ornaments.
25. Which looks best, theme trees or homey trees?
Homey, the trees that families that are covered in hand made ornaments from years back. I love trees like that. Theme trees are really pretty much they have no character. Half the ornaments on our tree are missing limbs. We have an ornament that I made, when I was 6, that is just a clothespin covered in strips of tissue paper and has pink yarn as the hanger.
26. Gingerbread or sugar cookies?
Gingerbread cake with lemon sauce and sugar cookies but I love shortbread with all my heart.

Yes because your stupid misspelled thing wasn't posted that is communism.
People and their non-understanding of Communism it cracks me up.
To most people communism = Totalitarianism.
Which it's not.
Having your voice censored is not because the government is communist.
I just sit there reading those things going? Really you think that? Well, that's not true, and you understand nothing about politics, or economics, or communism.
Oh my goodness I just saw a poster that said "remember everything Hitler did was legal too" Are you kidding me!? Hitler killed 6 million Jews, why yes murder is legal.
People who are allowed on the internets...it's hilarious.
Not hilarious at all.

What are you doing? you are 18 feet out of your net!
Marty Brodeur has the most losses out of any NHL goalie, he's been playing for 20 years so it makes sense.(he's also 39, which is really old for a goalie, Tim Thomas is the same age, and they don't play him every game, though these guys have nothing on Gordie Howe) He's played for the New Jersey Devils for his entire career.
I love watching Marty Brodeur play, actually I kind of hate it. He doesn't play in the Butterfly position, so he's always standing, which makes him look unprepared. It scares me to death. Also he loves to puck handle, he's never in his net he's off skating around and people are skating toward the net. I always yell at him. So when other goalies are not in their net I scream at them,"You are not Marty Brodeur get in your net!"
He's the best goalie the league has ever had so we really can't really complain.
I just love watching him play because he's so good and has such a different style.

Unpopular opinion.
I am going to say this, Your the Word of God the Father sounds better at camp. There is so much more emotion behind it. When we sing it at camp I'm nearly moved to tears, out here in real life, it seems to lack a certain amount of...oomph.

Land of Orchards, Vineyards and Tides
3 years ago today my family set off from our small city to a microscopic town. These three years have been among the best of my life. I've made friendships that I know are going to last forever. And I know I want to live here for the rest of my life. I never thought I would leave my home town, and now I'm okay with not going back.

Cloud 67
You could say I'm happy. My Boys(The Canadiens) have won their last two games. Over my most hated teams, Philly and Boston. It's been a good week. They're playing Boston again on Saturday night. That is going to be emotional. I guess the Boston fans were cheering "USA, USA" after Marchand and Subban fought. Marchand is from Halifax...guess no one told them...We'll they cheer for Boston so...the brain power...not really up there. Also Winnipeg won 9-8. What is that? I don't ever remember seeing a score like that in a NHL game.
So this mean Montreal is ahead of Boston in our division and Montreal is no longer 2nd worst in the league.
I love my boys. Even when they suck. But right now...I love them a lot.
As regards to the title Pacioretty is number 67.

The Sweater.
I'm blogging like crazy today. I love this short film. I remember the first time I saw it, it was on the Mr. Dressup Christmas Special. This video also breaks my heart as a Habs fan, the poor kid. 3 dollars for a hockey sweater from the Eaton's catalogue.
I remember going to Eaton's I've been a round for a long time.
The story and production of it are so purely Canadian.
"Would you rather people die in the streets of AIDS or in the hospital?"
It is extremely hard to argue for a 100 million dollars you don't believe in in real life. I can't do it.

And just on a side note, how does one say awkward in the "cool" way? Does it involve air quotes?
Yes the quote is from the Anon, being rude.

Eastern for sure, I live on the east coast so I barely ever get to see west games because they start at 11 out here. Plus Montreal is in the Eastern.

People whine about hockey too much, this coming form me, seriously. There are strict lines in the NHL. You're a habs fan? Then you must hate Boston. There are certain teams that deserve the cup. If you are a Habs fan who likes Boston, you are not a true fan. I said it. People will continue to cheer based on Original 6 and History. That is how the NHL works. If you can't deal with this you need to stop watching hockey.
This seems to be the new thing in hockey. To get rid of all the old lines and start new with a whole new everyone loves each other, no fighting or checking or contact. This is a whole load of crap. Hockey is violent and brutal and historical. You need to stop whining and deal with how the game works.
The people who say this must also be the ones who hate Don Cherry.
Oh no my Hockey rants are starting early this year. :)

There's an ongoing battle on whether the roll in the I Got It Game is a potato or a roll, it's a roll.

There are so many good quotes during that game but I can't remember them, I need to video record it when we play.

Vote Swapping. Vote swapping is when a die hard Liberal lives in a predominately Conservative riding( Like Peter MacKay's riding) swaps their vote with some one who is a die hard Conservative in a Liberal riding. So as that their vote isn't wasted. The only thing with this is that you don't end up with a Liberal MP in your riding. You are voting for the party, not an individual. I think it's very sneaky system, but very useful.
What do you think?

That isn't the CBC
I don't understand why everyone gets so up in arm about the CBC. Yes the CBC is government funded. But Hey have the best news programming right now, they give us Rick MErcer and Rex Murphy and Terry Milewski and probably most important, George Strombolopolous( I can spell his name now, that took years)
At least CBC provides us with Canadian programming, they hardly bring in anything from the US. Do they bring in anything from the US? If CBC no longer existed part of Canada's identity would be lost.
Can you imagine a Saturday night between October and June with out Hockey Night in Canada and Don Cherry. We did that one year and it absolutely sucked.
I do recognize that some of the programming on the CBC is...less than... wholesome. 22 Minutes really needs to leave the airwaves, and why did we let Da Vinci's Inquest survive so long? Nicholas Campbell is just creepy.
So the cries that CBC is socialist are partially true, the CBC is funded by the government but they bring the voice of Canada, to Canada with no compromise to American sway. This is why we need the CBC.
Also the beginning of this video makes me miss the old CBC announcer. There are lots of old school commercials before the video too. The video starts at 3:40 sorry
Ironic enough the title of this post comes from CTV's Corner Gas.

Camp Quotes Part 3
"I just saw a whale get eaten by a boat"-Isaiah
"But does she have asthma?"-Alison, it's really all we want to know about your kid.
My very snarky motto for camp this year.
"Why are we camping in the passing lane?"-Casper
"It's called man driving with hunk of dashboard"-Casper on the wonderful picture he took of Roland.
"We are going to die"-Samarah
Roland:"People are going to think, what are you doing?"
Casper, out the window:"Having fun!"
"Life is really like a bowl of jelly beans at least the black ones make it out"
I really do not understand this quote, at all.
"What a cute little place to live."-Casper
Andy:"maybe we can get famous people to wear them"
Evan:"Like Mylie Cyrus"
Andy:"I'm sending some to Ellen Degeneres and she'll promote them and we'll get famous"
Andy-creator of Andy J travelles
"Is is necessary for you to have your window open Roland?"-Casper
Josiah:"She doesn't know what Angry Birds is!"
Andrew:"Cameron!?"
"Did you see that woman looking at us? I am really scared."-Casper
There was actually a woman who kept passing us and staring at us, what a creep.
"They give out ale at church camp"-Josiah
"If you look at life in short term it looks glum. but if you look at it in the long term it's beautiful"-Casper
This one is really nice.
"Hey look at all those people crossing the road with flags making total dorks out of themselves"-Casper.
That's all the quotes I have from camp.
Until next year.

There are no purple challengers in this post.
I love the 2012 Volkwagen Beetle, it looks like the old ones. They make me happy. I would totally get my licence if someone gave me one of these, or an old non Dodge truck, or a hippie bus.

The Jets.
So the NHL opening was last night! Yes my boys did lose, not impressed. Just not cool. I get your strategy though, let the Leafs win their first game at home, give them a bit of hope this year.
Anyways CBC had a big shindig in Winnipeg. When I saw George's tweet about sound checks my heart became so happy. I just sat back and smiled. Winnipeg has their team back, it never should have left. Canada has another NHL team. I was so incredibly happy. I may have had a few tears in my eyes.
I am such a sap when it comes to hockey.
On a side note Phili my 3rd most hated team defeated my most hated team, Boston. But the Canuks lost. It was a weird night.

Camp Quotes part 1
Do you know what this is?
Camp quote day!!!!!
Samarah already posted all of our pictures so I'm posting the words.
"I don't even know why moo is an option"-Jesse on why the GPS was mooing.
"I have 5 dollars!"-seth, when we thought we wouldn't make it to camp because we had no money.
"When you're going to camp you do not think about the future"-Casper
The guy in the Airstream trailer with a neck brace. So we're driving along, we see a nice airstream trailer, pull up next to it, guy is wearing a neck brace, all of us lose it.
Kaitlyn:"give Jesse the peanuts and drive"
Jesse:"I will handle the peanuts."
This made me laugh because Kaitlyn was verging on panicking because Roland was struggling with a bag of peanuts instead of driving and Jesse just took hold of the situation so quickly.
"Those green army men are gross"-everyone who ate them, seriously we were like dominos.
"You want to drink out my my water bottle? That is fine by me"-Casper
Screaming Rolling in the Deep
Singing Christ Alone, every single one of us.
"How does this camera work? I have it under control"-Casper like 3 seconds after each other
"We could take him, I think he was just a skinny little Asian guy"-Jesse on the guy driving some vehicle we wanted.
Opening the bag of chips right on the NS/NB border like pros.
"When this song is done can we go back and listen to Mean again?"-Casper

Changing our ways.
This video is graphic. It is also fairly long
This video made me weep.
I've always dismissed abortion is like the holocaust argument because I've always heard it presented as an after thought. Like one person will say "Hitler killed 6 million Jews" and the other will say "yah but we've killed millions through abortion" I always felt it cheapened the horrible deaths of those innocent people(and the way people tacked it on at the end does cheapen it like they're trying to show it up.), like they didn't matter because we kill babies. Every human life matters, very single one. Though the hatred I have for Hitler and Stalin makes me deny this.
This video presents this argument in way that makes sense, that makes you feel true empathy. It changed me, and I've been set against the holocaust and abortion for my entire life. They present it effectively and empathetically, not make any crime lesser than the other.
One third of my generation is dead because of abortion. It's incredibly sad. The whole argument for abortion doesn't even make sense, there is no fact to it. There are so many people that can't have children and would adopt yours in a second but you want to kill it?
I'm finally posting something on politics. Finally. It feels so good.

apparently I have been very boring lately. I apologize. All I do lately is read, I'm reading for my history class right now. I will pick up blogging soon, I don't really have anything to say right now but I will soon. I have a history post sitting in the back of my mind, I have to do a camp post too, I'll do that when I'm home over the weekend.

WHY!?
This is an award show rant.
Though I love all award shows, I hate the emmy's. Really could you for like one award give i to the right deserving person or show? NBC is completely snubbed, everyone knows it. Out of the 6 niminations forBest Supporting Actor in a comedy 4 are from Modern family, no Parks and Rec, no Community, no Office. Doesn't make sense. I don't understand why everyone loves Modern family so much, really? Even 30 rock is funnier. Also Friday Night Lights didn't win, how do you pick these winners? But Coach Eric Taylor won, so that is wonderful!!!!! One thing makes sense for these awards. But Mrs. Taylor didn't win? Also Community had no nominations, the funniest show on TV right now, got nothing .I do not understand.

Plan A
"I bought the boat tickets the day I saw that YouTube video. I knew we'd need a backup plan. The boat was actually plan C. The church was plan B. And plan A was marring her a long, long time ago. Pretty much the day I met her."- Jim Halpert, the American Office.
That quote, and that episode kills me everytime. Jim and Pam are my favourite TV couple hands down. April and Andy's wedding from Parks and Rec's did give them a run for their money, but they still lost..
I'm done gushing now.

Woodstock
You know those great Historical gatherings of people? The ones when your like, to see that, that would have been amazing? Like Young Street in Toronto in the 60's Neil Young and Joni Mitchell and all of them. Or the McMaster production of Godspell, with Marty Short and Andrea Martin and Eugene Levy. SCTV, with John Candy and Catherine O'Hara and Marty Short and Eugene Levy, and Dan Akroyd ...really how do these things happen? Saturday Night live with Chris Rock and Chris Farley and Adam Sandler and David Spade. This mass groups of people, it's just insane. It doesn't seem to happen anymore, but we can't see the future. I guess this is why I love ensemble shows and movies so much, I love them. Even the Bad ones. I watched Brothers and Sister for a long time ( a bit, I watched it a bit) just because Sally Fields was in it and a bunch of other people, like Harrison Fords woman, and Rob Lowe, that might have been truthfully why I watched it.

9/11
10 years ago today the world changed forever. The Twin Towers fell and so did the old world. Almost nothing is the same anymore. There's no safety in the sky, you can't leave your country or bring shampoo.
I don't understand how it's been so long. It seems like the world has always been like this, but it hasn't.
You get a haunting feeling when you watch a movie that has the towers in them, remembering they aren't there anymore. Seeing the towers crumble is enough to make me cry.
I was 8 when it happened, in my grade 3 class room. I heard about it from my the lady who drove me home, she said a plane had hit a building in New York. I saw it when I got home, I didn't understand. I was mad because all we watched was CNN and I couldn't watch Zoom.
You've read my rants against the people who believe the government organized the attack conspiracy. I simply will not tolerate that. It is crazy.
Our world is completely different now. The next generation will live in this world, where nothing is as it was.

I have returned from camp. I am exhausted, emotionally and physically. I am supposed to move into my residence tonight but I can' deal with that emotional stress right now. I can not deal with yelling right now. I will have a full scale camp post up eventually I have no pictures yet but I will soon.
Camp this year was amazing. Uh-maze-ing!

The time has come.
I am leaving for camp in 13 hours. I am literally going insane. I don't think I am going to sleep a minute tonight. I hardly slept last night.
We have to leaver late this year because some hurricane named Irene thought it would be cool to come up this way. I just think all these hurricanes want to come to camp because they've heard how amazing it is. It's true, If I were a hurricane I would totally come. Everyone was swishing for another hurricane this year, and we got it. At the other end of camp. Good job everyone. I have been to camp during 3 different hurricanes. Katrina, Earl and Irene.
Being at camp during Katrina was really hard and crazy. Every night the minister would bring in news about what was happening but we couldn't see what was actually happening. I didn't see the devastation until I came back. We were completely cut off. We knew that the gulf coast of the US was devastated and lots of people had died but we were still at camp and were having fun. It was really odd. We prayed a lot. The weather was really bad I remember that, it rained almost everyday.
One good thing about leaving for camp 5 hours later is that we can kind of sleep in and, we're not leaving at 5 in the morning. Crazyness.
I need to get this show on the road. Camp is tomorrow!
I am pretty sure that this is going to be my last post for this week, so no blogging while I am away. I might write tomorrow but I don't think I will.
Here's my favourite picture from camp last year. And this is my post about camp from last year.

I am up to early on a Saturday, I am just so excited for camp. I'm starting to pack. YAY!
Then Dirt road anthem came on, perfect.
I don't particularly like country music, at all but I can with stand this song. And Keith Urban and the song Convoy. I love that song.
And because I like all you guys so much I am actually going to put the music video up.( And I also like using and at the beginnings of sentences.) Jason Aldean is kind of creepy looking.
Now Honeybee is on, is some one reading our list of gang songs?
I met my roommate last night, and saw our room, and some of our residence. I think this is going to be a good year! :D

Jack
Jack Layton died this morning. We all knew he was doing bad, when he resigned he looked and sounded worse than I had ever seen him, but...I never expected this. A lot of Canadian's went into the election disliking the NDP, but Jack won us over(as you can see I am in this group) He possibly single handed won all of the seats in Quebec. Even if you didn't like his politics, you had to respect him. He was just a great guy, come one we never call politicians by there first names, but Jack Layton, we did.
Now we have a NDP opposition and the whole reason that it's there is gone.

The waiting is killing me
This summer went way too fast, way too fast. I think it was because I ended school so late,( June 28th.) and am so excited for camp. I have never been this excited for camp before, I have always dreaded it. Last year on the afternoon before camp started I wasn't even sure if I was going to go, but I did, and now I am so excited. I'm so excited to start university, I've worked so hard to get to this point and now here it is. I'm worried about it though, I'm getting back late on Saturday, the day I move into residence and everyone knows how hard and intense university is. I am going to work harder than I ever had before, and that scares me. My finances still aren't figured out and that is driving me crazy.
I have a week and a couple days before I go away, I'm trying to make the most of it, reading, staying up late, sleeping in.
I am over the moon excited for camp, but the thing abut going to camp the last week of the summer is, your last week of summer is gone. And you spend your whole summer waiting for the last week and wishing it to come sooner, but then you get back and you have 2 days to recoup and then you have to enter the real world again. I don't even get 2 day, I get like 2 minutes.

God and Rap Core
This video is amazing. I've never listened to Korn, I'm not really into rap core. But I've always know of then, then I found out the guy from Korn became a Christian. Still don't listen to Korn. He's kind of scary, really. And I'm saying this. It seems so weird hearing what he's saying but It's amazing. Scroll down if he's disturbing you, I will not hold it against you and I doubt he would either.
God is so amazing. So many people just don't get that.
Go look up I am Second, you will not be disappointed.
Hearing Michael W. Smith talk about doing drugs is extremely weird. He's Michael W. Smith, biggest Christian artist of all time, him Steven Curtis Chapman and Amy Grant are Christian music. He came from doing all these drugs to doing that, amazing. No, God is Amazing.
Honestly Steven Baldwin freaked me out more, I have a phobia of Baldwins.

I am entering my first year of university soon. Everyone changes in university, you're supposed to. I changed in grade 12, though I'm sure I'll change more.
This year things became clear to me and I started to think.
The main thing I learned was compassion, I learned to love, really really love. I hadn't for so long. I was racist, I was I really was and I can admit it now. I knew that what Hitler had done to the Jews was hands down wrong but the killing of Muslims was justifiable because they were Muslim. They had a different faith from me so why care? Here's the thing I'm not Jewish so Jews have a different faith than me. Compassion.
I became feminist. Not a crazy feminist, I couldn't do that to myself but I realized everyone deserves right. I was never a crazy antifeminist, but I was never feminist. Now I am. I was reading too many crazy blogs and hating every word they said. I realized that women should be allowed to hold government roles, roles in the army and other things like that. I didn't start believing in abortion, I won't. I think it was the government roles that got me most. If that means I'm feminist, then I am.
I stopped being a super conservative, I realized that liberalism wasn't as evil as I thought it was. To come to this point to a very very long time.
I'm socialist now, I am. The government should provide services to it citizens including, healthcare, education and well fare. I know that this belief is not held by many in my circles but I fully believe this, it makes the mist sense to me. Why shouldn't a government give it's citizens the best life possible. Yes these systems are corrupt and are tricked sometimes but they are still there. I wish I were allowed to argue this with more people but I cant because it's always older men who I'm to respect talking about it and I'm a 18 year old girl, I think I'd get to fired up.
I read books on Communism and wrote an essay about it.
I fell in love with water colour.
I decided I am not and never will be a monarchist (unless Harry gets the throne then maybe I'll consider it) I think it's a terrible type of government to have. Canada needs t get away from it. I don't believe for a second that The Queen doesn't have any power, we have to whine to the Governor General every time we want an election.
I decided I am not and never will be a capitalist. Ever.
I still hate the UN.
I became decidedly pro-vaccination.
I want to save the world.
I realized that at sometime in my life I need to adopt 3 Eastern European boys. If I can't impact the world any other way then this is the way I want to do it.
I finally got over the idea of become a pharmacist and dove head first into the world of high school history teacher.
But not before deciding not to go to school for a couple of weeks.
I started liking riots (I'll write more about this later)
I started blogging a lot more. A LOT.
I basically became a crazy liberal, I've even started defending communism.
